1986 Summer Solstice Refuge's Site

kings sombourne

Travellers vehicles included a Ford Thames "Yeoman" with Plaxton-Embassy body & Bedford Duple "Bella vega".

Seen 22.6.86 Kings Sombourne . Hampshire . This is where the majority of the Stonehenge walkers and those vehicles that didn't head off to glastobollox after the Hanging Langford roadblock ended up . After a 20 mile walk !. It was handy for the village pub 10 mins walk away . But there was also some friction from the 'Mutants' & others already parked here , who weren't all exactly welcoming towards us 'refugees'..overtones of 'big vehicle snobbery ' ..
